“Neptune’s Garden”

MTA Station Bay Parkway & McDonald Ave

New York City

Artist: Leslie Wayne

In 2017, painter Leslie Wayne designed a 24-panel glass art installation for the MTA public art program, located at Bay Parkway & Mc Donald Ave train station.

With her lively underwater panorama called “Neptune’s Garden” Leslie Wayne hopes to provide commuters with an escape to another phantastic world amidst the hustle of everyday life.

To translate the design into glass, our painters worked in close collaboration with Leslie Wayne. They hand painted on two layers of glass, which were installed at a distance behind each other as part of insulated glass units.
