Derix Glasstudios present future visions in glass
Derix Glasstudios is famous all over the world for extraordinary intuition for (glass) designs and glass art. In September 2016 the Derix company presented within the scope of a special show at the glasstec exhibition, Düsseldorf in a cooperation with Glaserei Schmitt, Taunusstein and Mehrwert/ München a shower as well as a writing desk, both of the RS-line under the motto “GLASS GOES DIGITAL”. During the official exhibition days with media and TV and during all following exhibition days our developments caused great interest of the public. We put together the most beautiful impressions for you.
Digitalisation in Glass Art: Derix present developments in Düsseldorf
From September 20 to 23 2016 our glass studio was present as exhibitor on the glasstec in Düsseldorf. The world’s leading fair of the glass business organised besides the classical exhibition also a special show “Glass Technology Live 2016” with the focal topic “Glass of the Future”. On this occasion various different companies of the glass branch presented innovations and product designs under this motto. As part of this show we presented spectacular innovations as future visions in glass in front of an international audience of experts: A high tech glass shower and a digital writing desk.
World Novelties of the “RS-Line Glass Innovation”
The RS-LINE SHOWER is characterised not only by its unique design but also by its equipment: For instance a touch panel with an integrated screen in the glass back wall operates all instruments. The touch screen saves all personal shower habits like water temperature and music requests – also the current weather report and emails can be retrieved through the screen. The glass shower is designed with golden plating and entirely without any fittings. The backwall consisting of hybrid laminated glass can additionally be equipped with the most different stones and minerals, just according to the individual taste.
The DIGITAL GLASS DESK of the RS-LINE also belongs to the extraordinary digital product development of Derix Glasstudios. A modern touch keyboard is integrated in the desktop through which users can operate the desk. The special feature of the glass desk is the OLED screen which offers maximum colour contrast due to its organic LEDs. Access to the system via face scanning is also possible. The designs of the base frames and the hybrid glass are freely selectable.
