Derix is fundamentally committed to the execution of the artist’s work by the best possible means.

Derix employs no designers – we have the finest facilities and artisans and many years of collaborating on major projects with contemporary masters such as Johannes Schreiter, Ludwig Schaffrath, Brian Clarke, and Graham Jones. These artists have powerfully carried the precepts of modern art and architecture into the medium of art glass.

Derix invites artists, particularly glass artists, to contact us and consider working with the studio.

We believe artists should concentrate on designing their work, not limiting their designs and indeed, their imaginations, to their production capabilities. A visit to the studio is an illuminating experience. The studio is a purpose designed facility and has fully equipped apartments for visiting and working artists. We provide free accommodation during your visits, as well as full access to the studio.
