Like
most artforms, architectural art glass can be essentially
decorative, or it can make a powerful artistic statement.
Good glass design can transform a space. Unlike paintings
or sculpture, which absorb and reflect light, art glass is
active; it transforms light. As light passes through this
unique membrane it is reshaped, affecting our experience of
interior space. It is this active interface with the environment
that makes art glass such a supremely important art form.
This same dynamic quality makes glass such a difficult medium
to master.
