11.07.2011 - In 2005, the Holy Trinity Church and former Cathedral of the Dioceses of Northern China had been returned to the care of church authorities. Since 3 1/2 years conservation work is ongoing and transforming the Holy Trinity church to its former glory. Since none of the stained glass windows were existent anymore, during the restoration new stained glass windows are being made. The first three, the altar windows, had now been designed by Dr. John Clark, perfectly fitting architecture and environment, and been executed by Derix Glasstudios Taunusstein. The cathedral in Shanghai will not be re-opened until the end of the year, however, the installed shining, figurative altar windows are already spreading the light of hope.
